When New York Orthodox Jewish diamond merchant Abe Goldstein meets Okinawan Japanese gemologist Kiyoko Arakaki in Hawaii, sparks fly across cultural divides. Set against the backdrop of Honolulu's high-end jewelry business, their unlikely romance must overcome meddling mothers, yakuza threats, and family traditions that span continents.

Part Woody Allen, part Carl Hiaasen, "Shaloha Gems" delivers a ferociously funny yet deeply touching tribute to our shared humanity. An unexpected World War II connection between their families proves that love truly does conquer all.
